2. EPS raw materials: The eps particles should be larger than φ1mm, raw materials with 16 mesh or more. If you use small particles or a mixture of large and small powdered materials, it is easy to block the mold vent and affect the quality and production efficiency of products.
3. The eps beads must be cured before making eps blocks. The curing time depends on the temperature and the different properties of the raw materials, and it is generally not less than 4 hours.
4. The newly installed steam and compressed air pipes must be cleaned before connecting to the machine, otherwise they will block the valve and the vent groove and affect the normal operation of the machine.
5. We must check the pressure of the compressed air before using the eps block molding machine, it should not be lower than 0.6Mpa. Because the valve of the machine is controlled by compressed air, the lack of pressure will cause the valve to run out of control, causing high-pressure steam to enter the machine in large quantities, resulting in product scrapping or machine damage.
6. We must check the working pressure of the steam before using the machine. The steam pressure must be more than 0.5Mpa before entering the machine. After the steam enters the machine, the continuous pressure of the steam should not be lower than 0.3Mpa. A steam accumulator must be installed on the steam pipeline, with a capacity more than 10m³, otherwise it will affect the quality of the product.
7. The machine is equipped with a safety valve device, which is a mechanism to ensure the safe production of the machine and prevent the steam pressure from being too high. The valve must be checked before working every week to prevent malfunction.
8. After the blocks are made, we must check the quality of the surface of the block first, then check the internal quality. If quality problems are found, the operation procedures have to be corrected in time in order to prevent quality problems during cutting after mass production.
9. When producing low-density (i.e. foaming ratio more than 60 times) eps blocks, we should note that due to the low density, the newly-moulded blocks are easy to shrink and deform. They must enter the drying room. The temperature of the drying room had better be about 75 ℃ (about 8 hours).
10. During the production process of the eps block molding machine, in order to ensure the quality of the eps blocks, after steam heating, the cooling must be sufficient before de-molding.Otherwise mold expansion will occur, and the device will be damaged in severe cases.
